"'Mwimuto Revival Centre' is in the style of local Christian churches, which are very, very common in Kenya. Mwimuto is the name of the place where I live near Nairobi and we have lots of such churches. The reason for using this concept is because the music is inspired by and sampled from the worship music style of a particular sub-type of these kind of churches, known for hypnotic repetitive percussion, atonal vocals and its trance-like effect on the worshippers."
